Power Floating Helix® Slab

Power floating a slab is a critical stage in ensuring that the surface is free from large aggregate and Helix®. The turning float pans suck up the cream and drive down the large aggregate and metal fibers.

This video shows a Helix reinforced slab power floated with an Allen Engineering riding trowel model MP315. The machine is equipped with float pans to provide a thicker and more consistent paste layer.

Helix® micro rebar has superior flow characteristics in wet concrete to other fibers as Helix® is a twisted micro bar without hooks or crimps. Finishers will notice how easy Helix® is to place and finish compared with other fibers.
